Steam Launch Miranda

I just received plans for the Miranda and I’m having trouble understanding some of the drawings, especially the rudder end of the keel.. Any ;help and advice on its construction would be greatly appreciated.; If anyone has a reprint of the article in Model Boats on construction of the Miranda, I would greatly appreciate a copy and be willing to pay for the reprint.

Ray – I appreciate your response. Without the instructions, I realized the need to make some changes to the plans to end up with a usable model. I went ahead and added additional formers and have completed planking the hull. Therefore the instructions probably would not be useful as far as the hull construction If they would be helpful in completing the model, I would appreciate a copy if it is not too much trouble.

In addition I would like to keep in touch with you as our building continues. Hopefully we can compare our progress. Please send me your direct Email address so that we can communicate directly.

Do you have the original 1983 Model Boats article on Miranda? If not I can send you a photo copy which will help you.

I haven't built the steam plant for my boat yet but the boat itself is almost finnished. It's a lovely boat and like you I am new to boat modelling and I struggled in places. Do you have any photo's so far? Would be nice to see them.
