Here we Go folks she was launched to day with no drama’s and has proved to be, stable, smooth running, and reasonable nimble on the turns, with a good lick of speed at full throttle.

going astern is drama free also with full right rudder initially to counter the prop side thrust then she simply glides backwards in a straight line. Steering is pretty near non exsistant but that was expected.

There is a 3rd pic in the album but it won’t let me put it in here

Thanks Bob yes it  was pretty good today apart from a few strong gusts but she handled them without any serious drama rolling slightly and slowly before the wind.

the 10mm sub keel works like bilge keels slowing any roll right down so as the wind drops she comes upright and stays there.

the thinned out lower bow section does its job going astern too
just like the deep forefoot on a cobble she runs astern in a dead straight line

Absolutely Larry the more the merrier Mate have you got the directions from the google maps link ok.?

basically leave the M5 at Junction 26 and follow signs to Wellington (approx 2.5 miles) at the second set of traffic lights turn right,

follow this road until you see the “Sportsman Pub” on your left, (approx 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile)

turn left, into “Corams lane” keep straight when the road turns right.

30 yds further and the road splits 3 ways. take the middle lane and 40 yds down is where you unload your boats.

the participants car park is 20 yds further on. watch for my assistants directing traffic.please try to arrive just before 10:00

We have a steering course for the smaller boats. (approx 600 to 750mm x up to 250mm)
Also a 2.4m 60kg hull for those that want to exercise their tugs. we will find you a team mate if necessary! All this is for fun however the best score on the steering course will recieve a memento of their achievment!

If you have a live steam model or a sailing yacht there will be quiet times set aside on the 2nd pond.

Also going on in the field alongside is a host of family entertainment including a fun dog show run by our local dog charity “WAG” and various other “on stage” acts
