Hi Colin,

Thanks for your reply. I think too much is being made about me offering to pay the time of someone good enough to help me with some work. I certainly don't like the term "commission". The offer was simply put as in the modern world we all know that many people will only consider the help that I am asking for as "work" and as such will want to be compensated.

I've posted here on this forum as I identified it as more of a "community" in which I thought there may be members who would be excited by the opportunity to share their experience and expertise to help out a new member to the community.

I've now suitably lowered my expectations.

Essentially this is a Forum for people who enjoy model making as a leisure interest. Most of us are probably simply not interested in doing it for money as a commission so you may not find that there is all that much interest in undertaking commissions although there are always exceptions. There is certainly no harm in asking but don't raise your expectations too high.

Don't despair as a bump often turns into a bounce.

Be brave and build it yourself…….and if you do please keep us updated on your progress as this project looks like it could be a very interesting and exciting ride.
