The Radio Station is celebrating 50 years of broadcasting, initially as an illegal pirate radio station broadcasting from from two ships and now as a legal based station. The ships were the MV Fredericia which broadcast Caroline North from Ramsey Bay off the Isle of Man and the much smaller Mi Amigo which broadcast Caroline South off Frinton-on-Sea, Essex. Radio Caroline are now offering trips to their 'Ross Revenge' radio ship from West Mersea CO5 8PB. Looks worth a visit at £25 for anyone within travelling distance.
