Tim, hello….

I'm assuming you didn't get the user manual with your purchase. Not to be too blunt, but table saws are quite lethal and the user manual at least gives you the basics and guidance etc.

A quick search finds a manual here http://www.axminster.co.uk/media/downloads/300095_manual.pdf and page 6 has the procedure explained and there are some diagrams too. Hope that helps.
