Plank on Frame Construction

Hi I'm new to boat building and have been given plans for Miranda steam launch for my birthday,as this is new to me I am bit confused with plank on frame construction no info on width ,depth, length of planks, think I can manage rest of plans OK.

Can anyone help pls. Chris

As I have already told Chris, the plan number indicates that the Miranda design was published around 1983 but I don't seem to have an issue of Model Boats which features it. Can anyone help with this?

Well, the advantage of a boat is that you don't have to throw it in the air when it's finished. having said that, an open launch like Miranda is a fairly ambitious first project!

I may still end up throwing it in air. I done some modeling years ago, but never plank on frame maybe still a bit ambitious

Colin, has MB magazine ever done a feature on Plank on Frame before? Might give Chris somewhere to start.
