Trying to some idea off numbers for the possibility of a new lake for sail/electric power new Ringwood, Dorset. The more members the cheaper the annual subs, at the moment it would be about £65.00 but the more members the cheaper it would become. Please send a PM to [email protected] for name to be put on list, thank you Brian

If only I weren't so far away, Brian. As you saw earlier in the summer, we sorely lack a decent sailing water down here at the moment- things may improve next year. Good luck with your new venture though.

Thanks Ian, Poole is weeded in, Longham is not much better, so just trying to do something about it. The lake I have in mind is very deep and hasn't ever weeded up, but have competition from a fishing club, hence trying to get numbers together. Fishing clubs appear to have a lot of wealth!!

Hi Brian, plenty of old gravel pits between Ringwood & Fordingbridge (I was born & raised in Fordingbridge) I don't wish to split hairs but Ringwood is in Hampshire not Dorset…

              Whereabouts is the potential lake??

              Mark..

I'd be interested too. I weas at Poole today, the lake is looking goof but the club website is dated 2011. I read their website in the summer and the clkub sounded in poor health. Im in salisbury so its a fair haul, Ringwood would be better.

I do sail at Blashford, Im a member of the Spinnaker club there, and thats nice but of course its full of bigger boats!

A Ringwood club would get my support.

Hi Brian, when I lived in Weymouth, we used to sail at Poole Park lake which was good and well run, dominated by the colonels and their marbleheads @I've still got my Poole park permitwhich does not do me any good here in Oxfordshire
