Does anyone know where I may obtain accurate drawings or plans of this vessel?

I have a very large model of Moonbeam IV which I am hoping to complete.

If anyone can help with any information I would be most grateful.

If it is the Moonbeam kit then there is a review on this site:

But it sounds like you have a model of the full size boat built in 1914. These yachts are still sailing so one of the owners might be able to help, details can be Googled.

              Arthur,

Further to my previous post, I understand that the Metcalf Moonbeam is derived from an old model 'pond yacht' which may have been inspired in turn by the original full size vessel. It is very unlikely that you will find any scale model making plans available for Moonbeam IV and the best route would be to follow the Google links as suggested above.

The model that I have is definitely a scale model of Moonbeam 4.

The model is nearly 9 ft. long and the mast is around 8 ft..

I believe that Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly spent their honeymoon aboard Moonbeam IV.

                Best Regards,

                Arthur Hicowe.

Wow, over six years to reply to a post, that has to be something of a record! Do you have any pictures of your model?

I am sure you will have noticed that there is another Moonbeam being built on here at the moment, which is coming along superbly.

My digital cameras don't seem to be working at present.

My son, Des, is coming around tomorrow to take some photos of the model.
