Just a reminder that the Model Engineer Exhibition is taking place this coming weekend, 16/17/18 September in the new venue of the Brooklands Museum, Weybridge Surrey. Full details can be found here.

There are a number of excellent models in the Marine Competition classes as well as those on loan and displayed on club stands.

In addition to the usual modelling exhibits you have the opportunity to visit the museum itself which is packed with interest.

        Well worth a visit!

        Colin

          Trevor will be going Saturday.

I work next door to the museum (until 30th September) and our company passes get us in the museum for free during the week.

Will pop over at lunch time to check on the setting up.

I was at the museum all day for the judging. Yes, lots to see apart from the models and the Wellington and the replica Vickers Vimy being moved around were most impressive.

The Model exhibits are within several of the central buildings and most of the boats are on the first floor in the Education Centre. There are some very good models on display and Andrew Dalton's HMS Renown Victorian battleship is a real showstopper.

From what I could see there is not very much of a trade presence this year.

Very hot today but should be cooler tomorrow.

The MEX is being discussed on the Model Engineer website **LINK** and I have lobbed in a few contributions of my own. It is interesting to see that what is happening in the ME world is not too different from us in model boating.
