Model shipbuilders often

seem to like building ferries, so I thought I would try one. LOCHEARN, 1930 – 1964. 25’=1″ Hull length 6 1/2 inches. Completely scratchbuilt using bits & pieces left over from larger miniatures.

Turned out very well.

Very nice Bob, the design would also lend itself to a practical working model too. These old ferries often have lots of character as is the case here. They also seemed to last almost forever!

Yes, they did seem to last for a long time and were quite handsome little ships. Amazing that LOCHEARN carried 1,300 passengers.

Yet another “damp squib” as far as interest on various model ship forums are concerned, but it will be winging its way to Germany in a few days, so I can at least chalk it up as a success for myself.

Rapidly losing interest in model shipbuilding now and spending much more time writing! – less dangerous – less toxic – greater satisfaction! (Not writing about model building either!)
