      Dear Paul T.

I wish to explain my request for photos under the "Historical Ships" column. I did complete a scale-built 1:24 model (27&quot in the 60's when I was a teenager. This is the only completed model I have.

It is an 1800's representation of a 3-masted lugger taken from a tiny woodcut in "Jim Davis" by John Masefield. During my many moves, it was damaged by the 3# lead ballast slugs falling through the thin balsa planking. I shall post a pic when repairs are made. They will have to be done in the cave so the coastguards & revenue men wont confiscate & destroy the vessel.
