Does anyone know a source of 1 and 1.5mm ply in the West of Scotland? Or any other supplier that would be prepared to ship it to this part of the world. Are there any catalogues for this kind of material? I know all of the usual Hoppy things, but none that I can find lists these materials in anything other than small pieces.

Being from the building game I always get my ply from the large trade timber yards, if they don’t have it in stock (I doubt they will have 1mm) they will get it for you and being the trades supplier the price will be very competitive the only down side is you will have to buy in sheet quantities i.e. 1x 8ft x 4ft sheet.

That may have to be the way to go. Unfortunately buildrers merchants in this part of the world tend to stock a fairly limited range of materials.
WE do have accounts with them, but I have not yet broached the 1mm ply idea – it will be interesting to see their reactions.
Then again I don’t really need 8×4 amounts. This stuff is pretty expensive.

 Hi PeterI’ve just had a squint at theHobby U.K catalogue, they have a very wide range of materials and fittings, you might find them on     http://www.hobby.uk.com      they stock ply in all the thicknesses you might want, they also sell casting materials which I find invaluable.
