      hi i am wondering if anyone out there can help me i am scratch building a rnxs fleet tender loyal class have purchased some plans i want to use the bread and butter method for the hull but cant find anything on the plan as to what thickness wood i need to use the model is not going in the water, for display only the scale is 1/4 inch to 1foot 20 inches in length and 5 1/2 inch beam

          Albert,

          You can use whatever thickness of wood you wish! If you have the myHobbyStore plans you will see a set of body lines from which you can calculate the shapes of the 'planks' to suit the wood you have available.

          There is an article on working with hull lines in the current Model Boats Plan Features Special which you should still be able to find in branches of W.H. Smith or order directly from MyHobbyStore: **LINK**
