Just a trivial question.

How does one size a lifebelt? Is it the inside diameter or outside diameter.

There are many sizes on sale but I have no idea how to choose.

Mr Google says 630mm outside, 410mm inside seems to be a good average there are loads to chose from.

I suspect that they are sold specifying the outside diameter…
