Large drifter hull need some help gents.

I have just been united with a Grey GRP 67.5 inch(172cm)LOA by 14inch Beam (no plans) I think drifter hull. Can anyone possibly remember who might have made this type size of hull  as it looks like a commercial build. Also if memory is working ok the above measurments make it 1:15 scale??.

My intention is to construct it as the Tyne Pilot boat Brittania as that is my local port ,so my next help is does anybody know where I can get a good plan from??.

Sorry for all the questions but still quite new to model boats had 30yrs at model aircraft then saw the light and now only do marine modeling.

Look forward to any replies.

hi, sounds like you have the old ABCO [ Metcalf Mouldings] now MODELS BY DESIGN drifter hull called ALISON……look here for the model

good luck..she sails very well, but you need a crane or a hernia strop to lift her when ballasted, lol

Thanks for the info Neil that helps me a lot. Will have to post the build if ever I can figure out how to upload photo’s and get my hands on a plan. Point taken on the hernia front my intention is to use water ballast tanks and fit them with internal baffel plates to avoid the water moving around to much and causing her to role much like the big tankers.
