Hi Colin,

 

I replied on the 11th, but it seems to have disappeared into cyberspace, so here goes again.

The model is now in the USA. I completed it last Wednesday morning and took it to the couriers in town at 1030 hrs and it arrived safely at its destination on Friday morning at 1000 hrs local time USA – good going!

 

The scale is much larger than my usual 32’=1″ The reason for this is that the Mary Sinclair was only 89 feet long. I wouldn’t have had any problem building it to 32’=1″, but it would only have been 2.8 inches on the waterline and would have probably looked insignificant!

 

I built it and the previous Squirrel to finance my next book, Just One More Pull & Then Belay that is currently under production. The funds have now been raised with quite a lot to spare, so all I need to do now is finish the book.
