I have a Japanese built up hydrofoil boat as above which will not stay up on its foils. I have tried numerous times unsuccessfully to get it to foil properly. I'm in the west midlands area and are looking for someone who may be able to help me with this.

Happy to help.

There could be a few reasons why your boat wont perform from lack of power to the foils at the wrong angle or a short propshaft / incorrect propeller.

It would help immensely if you could post some photos of your model, or even better would be a video of the boat in action.

There are so many things that can stop this sort of thing foiling, and some of them can be combinations of things.

Ah, the only foil expertise I have is in wrapping my lunchtime sarnies.

But the bung is nice.

We have some very small expertise on the pond here with foils, however as you say Paul, our normal method of fault finding on these things is seeing them in action (or inaction even).

You got the Caspian Sea Monster to fly, that is the best example of resolving foil problems that I have ever seen.
