how to progress

just wondering how do we as model boat builders progress from plans showing full size frames etc… to making a model from plans showing only 3 views of the hull.

for example im trying to build the tug flying dolphin free plan in april 2010 of model boats. i have managed to suss out the frames but the keel and the ply shapes used for covering the hull and deck are just so confusing.

ive looked at the review on this tug on this web site, but it seams they covered their tug differantly to how its shown in the plan, so is this method either better or easyer.

is there a good web site that explains how to use these plans, or am i neaver to progress to more shapely hulls.

any help would be great

Post a few pictures of your work so far and if possible, a photo of the side elevation and we will make some progress
