Hornet II

Hi, I have just received some new aluminium solder that I tried out today and it worked superbly well instantly. No brush, no flux, no risk of melting the object as the solder melts at 300 degrees.

I got it from ebay in 2 days.

This makes Hornet II's rear deck corners perfectly easy to do.

I would put a picture on, but Gawd knows how.

So what is this solder called (trade name) or the sellers name, looks like another good item to keep in the boatyard

It's called Alubuild 300 and it came from a company called Able Mabel Crafts!!

I used to do work for Denso Marston who make radiators for wagons and genorators etc. They are all aluminium construction and the joints are all soldered – fused. They coat them in a flux and when heated up the joints all fuse. It was all beyond me but the flux is the special part of the processs. Maybe your product is a derirative of the flux?

This has the ability, built in, to ignore/disperse the oxide. This is just a stick of aluminium that melts at 300 degrees C.
