Hi all, I am looking for some HMS victory plans but have not been successful in doing so. I would like to build an RC version

Any help would be a great appreciation.

        Thankyou in advance.

        Mike

There is lots of information about the ship online with detail drawings, books etc.

The Amati kit plans can apparently be used to scratch build a model of HMS Victory.

Some idea of the complexity of the kit version can be seen here:

In itself this would be a very complex project requiring plenty of previous experience.

To build a radio controlled working model would be very ambitious indeed.

          What were you expecting?

I once bought a superb set of HMS Victory plans from The Historic Dockyard at Portsmouth but that was a long time ago so I cannot guarantee that they still do them. It must be worth a phone call though.

              Hi Micheal,

I would recommend 2 books which contain drawings of the fullsize ship :-

The Anatomy of Nelson's Ships – by C. Nepean Longridge first issue 1955

Anatomy of the Ship – The 100-gun ship Victory – by John McKay 1987

As others have said a complex project to build in detail, but as a stand off scale version, I'd PM Ashley Needham he has successfully built RC square rigger HMS London, for tips etc.

              Regards Ray
