HMS Hood by Trumpeter Models

Can anybody out there help I have just accepted the challenge of building the Trumpeter model of HMS Hood 1/200and I am having some difficulty choosing the correct shade of grey for the hull and everything else. Years ago I remember Humbrol had a matt grey paint called Admiralty Grey. The paint recommended by Trumpeter looks nothing like the real thing. Any suggestions would be greatfully received.

Hello David

Like many other RN ships the Hoods colour scheme changed depending upon location or mission. You will need to pinpoint the exact date of the colour scheme that you wish to use before doing more research.

There are many websites devoted to the Hood such as THIS which will help with your research.
