HMS Hood

Hi guys,

Newby to this site and looking for help.

I am building a 1/200 metal scale model of HMS Hood and searching for plans.

I can buy them but the cost is horrendous… over £300 so I am seeking someon who may have some I could beg, borrow or copy or even buy at a reasonable price.

I mainly need detailed sections of the hull lines and plating. Even detailed photo’s would be a help. Scale is not a problem as long as its detailed.

I tried the Hood asociation website and asked the same question but they just blanked me, must have had the wrong colour tie on or summit .

Try the Surface Warship Association I expect they have a web site.

Hi Dave,

Try this web site, I have bought this book myself on e-bay, it gives a General Arrangement and plan on the reverse of the cover sheet, but gives numerous deck plans and detail inside, everything to build a decent model.
