          I have just downloaded Richard Woodman's Fiddlers Green about the decline of the merchant navy to my Kindle. I imagine you are already familiar with it? **LINK**

            Someone suggested that a battleboat was too difficult for me!face 1 The first one I did was HMS Norfolk, followed quickly be HMS Dreadnought, above. I was very pleased with the way they turned out, but nowehere near as interesting and varied as merchant ships. They are the only two powered warships I have ever built!

            I have read Richard Woodman's books, and like them very much, but he is finding the same thing as I am, declining interest. I am fortunate in the fact that an awful lot of maritime collectors actually prefer model merchant ships, the more obscure, the better!yes
