      Dear All

Can anyone suggest a control system for this project?

I envisage three brushless motors driving airscrew props for both forward and reverse functions.

The motors must be lightweight and quick to respond to commands.

Motors 1 & 2 are the main driving units and motor 3 is the primary steering unit.

All motors must work in unison when turning as the project must be agile so I am looking for some kind of lightweight mixer or ESC combination that will work through a 2 channel 2.4 transmitter.

The drawing gives a very basic visual idea of the requirements without getting bogged down in detail.

All ideas and suggestions will be gratefully received

      Paul

This should do the job. Just connect the steering motor ESC in the place where the rudder servo would normally go.
**LINK** The PCB is about the same size as the top joint of my thumb and the unit weighs less than 10g without its ABS case.
You'll need to choose your own motors and suitable ESCs because you don't say just how big/small they need to be.

Thank you for such a fast reply, the unit looks ideal and should do the job nicely yes

              Hello Professor

If you are after, quick responses……I would have thought that water emmersed props would be more effective?

              Just a thought

                Hello Captain

Thanks for the suggestion and under normal circumstances I would use traditional props but this project is far from normal.

                    Hello Harry

Good guess as this thing will never be bothered with weed or going aground but you don't win a prize.

I too used to snore like a herd of pigs played through a 100W Marshall stack. I was recently diagnosed with Sleep Apnoea and loaned one of these amazing machines **LINK**
To say that it's improved things dramatically isn't an exaggeration. I don't snore at all now – which is a delight to my long-suffering wife – and I can sleep right through without having to get up numerous times to visit the loo. Apparently many middle-aged blokes suffer from this so it might be a good idea to check with your GP.
And now it's back to Dr Thomason and his amazing flying machine…
