I have decided to have a bit of a clear out so I’m offering the following items for sale here before I put them on E-Bay. No offers, please; these are sensible prices:

Graupner Parat tug kit – partly built (bulkheads etc fitted to hull)
Full fittings kit
2 x Voith Schneider drives (with Speed 500E motors)
2 x 12v 7AH SLA batteries to suit
12v water pump for fire monitors
Winch servo for monitor platform raise/lower
1/24 scale rubber tyres (24) for fendering

Cost new was £672 Asking price £450 Will not split.
Buyer collects from Nottingham or could deliver within East Midlands area.

Futaba 6J 2.4GHz Tx and Rx – used only for bench testing; boxed £90
Futaba 6EX 2.4GHz Tx and Rx – used only for bench testing; boxed £75
Spektrum Dx5e 2.4GHz Tx and Rx –used only for bench testing; boxed £45
Hitec Focus 6 40MHz Tx plus 2 x Dual conversion Receivers + crystals – ideal for submarines – Used but VGC – £50
Hitec Ranger 3 (converted to 4 channels) 40MHz Tx plus 2 x Receivers and spare crystals – Used but VGC £30

I must object to the comment of 'these are sensible prices' as they are quite clearly crazy prices, does your carer know what you are doing? I only wish that I had a spare £500 as I would bit your arm off for such a deal…..if only you had mentioned this a few weeks ago.

I would have thought that building this kit would be an ideal pastime now that you are out to grass and rattling around that big empty workshop,

I've concluded that glueing together pieces of moulded plastic just isn't my "thing", Paul. I'd rather start with a drawing board or a set of plans, I guess.

To some degree I would agree with your thoughts but sometimes its nice just to take your brain out of gear and play with something that is basically just an assembly job.

I will be very surprised if you don't sell it by the weekend but if not you could bring it to Haydock and stick it on your stand you would have no problem selling it then.

No room in the car, Paul – and almost certainly no room on the stand. That kit box is 5 ft long, Dr Dude!
As for doing an assembly job well I can't say I didn't try, and I've done a pretty good job of it so far, but it doesn't interest me any more.
Come on, guys – this is a steal. At new prices you'd be getting the actual boat kit for free.

I have saved up £150 but it will be a while until I have £450, how long have I got before you put it on ebay.

It will appear in the next edition of Model Boats magazine. I shall wait at least a month after publication before I decide what to do next.

Kit and accessories now disposed of on E-Bay. I hesitate to use the word "sold". At least I have a large space in the workshop now.
