free styrene sheets

my son recently decided to remove the white plastic covering off his wardrobe doors ,after trimming the edges and lifting the plastic which came off clean I found that I had 2 sheets of styrene 6 feet by 18 inches each ,these ii use on the model of hms cadiz I'm building and with the use of super glue the stick to wood etc fine .saving myself a lot of money.and recycling both the styrene and the now stained wardrobe doors.

Hi Anthony and welcome to the forum.

Its good when you find something like that., I assume they are of a reasonable thickness??? 3 mm or so?

​When they were refurbishing the sea cadet unit galley (my band rehearses in the hall) there were all sorts of goodies in the builders skips. The galley was clad internally with some sort of stiff plastic sheet and I had several decent size bits, besides wood and MDF…..wonderful.

Is this the battle class ship you will be doing??
