Well it is now 7th January and the archive February 2019 and prior is still on Adobe Flash Player which is a threat to computer security for anybody that uses it.

I am guessing that Colin Bishop's message to Beth of the 23rd December has gone unanswered.

You would think that this was the ideal project for working from home.

Some good news to report to the few of us that are interested. It sounds like the archive is saved and soon to be available again.

I have had an email from Beth:

" It’ll be online as soon as I can get it up, in the same format that the current issues are."

I read this as the work has been done and it is now a question of getting it onto the website. Given the present situation "as soon as I can get it up" might take a little time. Hopefully it isn't too big a problem and can be resolved quickly.

Yes, there is a post on one of the other MTM forums which suggests the same.

Also that MTM is a bit understaffed and overworked in the present situation.

Just a quick update. Poor Beth is working her socks off – she does have a day job in subscriptions. I quote:

It’s a very slow process where I have to process each issue for each year, adapt the files to the new system and then re-upload. And as I’ve got years to do for each magazine, it’s just taking its time. I’ve roped in Sam and we’re getting there. In short, they will be up shortly and I’m going as fast as I can – Beth

                Patience is a virtue.

                Colin

                  Um……………….

Your reply suggests that it will take a lot longer than my reply did! A tleast it is underway.

                  12 or 13 issues per year since 2008 = around 150 issues per title x 7? titles – around 1000 issues. Gulp.

I hope that Beth is well underway and that Model Boats is near the top of the list.

Yes, quite! No spare resources at MTM but at least they are still going.

                      Something is starting to happen.

Archive issues January 2018 to November 2018 are now HTML5 and available. Hopefully we are now being converted and an extra issue will appear frequently.

Issues from March 2019 have always been HTML5 and available.

Model Engineering has now been completed from late 2016.

                        Great News.

As far as I can see the conversion is now complete except for December 2018 to February 2019. I suspect that this was forgotten so I will be emailing them.
