Thanks Bob,

There weren’t any portholes  in the hull.    Everyone aboard lived in the white-painted raised ‘midship section.   The crew lived on the lowest  level.   The deck officers and radio officer lived in the forward section of the boat deck accommodation, whilst the engineers and electrician lived in the accommodation directly under the funnel.   Captain lived in solitary state behind the wheelhouse.

 

Next one is steel-hulled full-rigged ship FALLS OF FOYERS, 1,917 gross tons and square-rigged on all four masts.

Lovely model as usual Bob, but I agree with your earlier comment that the colour scheme does the ship no favours.

It looked rather drab when they painted the accommodation light grey as well.

Anyway, it is going on Tuesday.    I am still in the middle of my big tidy up and even washed the car this morning.   Will spend the afternoon writing.
