Bluebird built by Alan Higham…….Video and words by Dave Lee!

It makes enough noise to be an Abell drive

                Hello Paul

Nice to know you are keeping your eye on things?

The drive is quite novel and I'm surprised you've not twigged it?

This website is being silly at the moment…..When I press "enter" the curser goes to the top of the page?

Water-jet? Surface drive? A squadron of demented wasps? Do put us out of our collected misery, Bob.

It certainly SOUNDS like an EDF, though…

Also; owch. I hope the blue bird was salvaged for repairs?

OK…….I'll put you out of your misery

It uses a ducted fan for the jet sound and a brushless motor and prop for the dashing about!

                          Simple and very effective

                          Well done, Alan

Well… that certainly explains the sound AND the roostertail…

Ah, I see.. it would have been so good just to have the ducted fan drive, be a real jet boat then.
