Just to update,  I spoke to the good folks at SHG today at the Weymouth show and all is explained.  The Dave Abbott design adapts the S-Boote full scale layout by dispensing with most of the shaft fairings (parts 12 and 13D) and, by putting a steeper pitch on the shaft, a shorter shaft can be used allowing the motors further aft and the battery pack nearer the proper centre of gravity.  As I am already committed to the full scale layout because I cut out holes in the main hull they will replace the supplied shafts with longer ones – once I have worked out what that length should be!

Hi, My boot runs on 3 x 500 motors, on 35mm 3 blade brass props. scale speed plus.
Have replaced 37mm flak gun with Tamiya 20mmFLAKVIERLING38. it is on trailer, so had to make deck mount as/ Revell 1/72 kit.
All 3 rudders turn together, and “effect” rudders operate in effect mode too, you can see this in the wake.
Am waiting for MG42,s to mount on bridge, and depth charges. Have made some depth charges, not bad, but not good enough.
Had to paint SWASTICA in flag, must be P.C. to omitt it.

I have recently test run an Italeri S-100 that I converted I used 3 Graupner 500 series motors with a Viper 25 ESC.  3mm prop shafts and brass propellers from Rosech? in Holland.  Test ran it last Saturday Night in a large swimming Pool (Our pond has about 1 meter of ice an it at the moment.) and it runs very very fast.  Just ran into two problems.  First already fixed with Loctite I screwed one of the props right off the shaft when I had to go full speed astern to avoid a colision.  Other more serious and I need help with.  The deck is leaking quite badly.  The S-100 is a wet boat and the joint between the deck and hull is not tight, in fact there is probably about 2-3mm gap at the stern between the deck and hull.  I fixed nuts to the cross beams and use 2mm screws to hold the deck down in the parts where Italeri already does.  I need to be able to remove the decks easilly to service the motors and battery.  LIpo 11.3V  6Ah

            Any suggestions would be appreciated.
