Some of the Etherow club had a day out at the Colwyn Bay regatta

The weather was bright sunshine all day but strong gusts of wind that caused havoc!

Quite a few gazebos were blown away and the model harbour looked as it had been struck by a Tsunami!

Duckie and Pepe on the GE stand with the Hoylake in the far distance

Nice regatta type weather, for a change!

Hi Paul

There were no kit traders attending, but we enjoyed the show. It was a pity I didn't take a photo of the campervan with the gang……We all had poached egg and beans on toast………Great fun

Today I tried to phone Westbourne…..No answer……….Howes……..No answer

A Model World website was out of date…..2008

Haydock may be the answer?

Finally made contact and ordered a Glasgow with all the trimmings!

The problem now is………..When do I tell the Missis?

I think she could welcome another boat build as a sort of convelescence and relaxation exercise?

We`ll see!

If your better half is anything like mine then she will just be happy that you are back to your old self and wouldn't care if it was a kit or a full size boat.

Hi Bob

I Did !, was speaking to someone about the vessel and was told the names of the funnels, admit did not mention my forum name, No the Bluenose is John Dowds.

The Colwyn Bay Mayor's Cup Regatta is on Sunday, 13th July, 2014.

Everyone is welcome to come along. Free admission, free parking and 2 competitions for visitors to enter.
