Hi, I am in the process of building Britannia racing yacht and I am using the Tremplet plans of Sandy Cousins.I have now reached the rigging stage and I find the plans a bit vague on what materials to use for standing and running rig any help would be gratefully received

Hello Alan……………..Here`s my Sandy Cousins yacht…….But built plank on frame…Didn`t like Sandy`s cardboard idea

The sails are off white Egyptian cotton…….it`s actually a bedsheet!

          What info are you after?……………..Bob

Im not a fan of building sailing boats but always love to watch others sail them , there is something about relying on the wind and skill , they just seem to glide through the water with no effort

              nice yacht ther Bob

                Thanks fellas

Just created an album for this model and hope that Alan finds the information useful

The covering picture is a larger version of Britannia incorporating the hull of Pocahontas and the Britannia superstructure, hence the name….Pocatannia!

As requested, a picture of the shroud area….

I used modern yacht bottle screws and stranded wire for the shrouds

The deck has large access holes with the cabins etc mounted on the covers

                The model sails well……………….Bob
