Boiler Inspection/test

I have a new inspected and certificated gas tank but need someone to inspect/test my boiler .I,m now just about out of ideas. Can anyone help I live in South Bucks. Thanks

I would start of by contacting your local model boat clubs to see if there is anyone available through them or, failing that, get in touch with the Southern Federation of Model Engineering Societies who should be able to put you in contact with an inspector.

I have contacted my local model boat and model engineering club with no luck.Maybe I will try the Southern Federation. Thanks for your reply

Hi David,

This is the main reason I don't steam in public places now, locomotives or boats, which down south Steam boats are very much a minority interest, If you joined a model engineering club they will help, as Richard says the Southern Fed should point you in the right direction for a local club or society for you

I have a full size Steamcar and Steamboat I can get boiler inspections for those but not for Models it would seem , what a shame !!

Hi David,

Is the car a flash steamer ? very sweet mode of transport

I personally think the testing regime for models is rather extreme, but you do get beginners who don't know their ar*e from the elbow

I guess you use a commercial boiler tester for your launch ?

I use an inspector thru the Steamboat Assoc for both ,car has a Reillo domestic central heating burner, using kerosine Derr type water tube boiler
