Yes – there were a few sailing boats. The J class stand was very impressive.

but sailing craft don’t seem to be of much interest here?

Good to see that the show is continuing and apparently popular. We have lost so many events over the last few years.

No doubt Ashley will have noted the bumper boat.

Yes, good to see the show running with a good solid display of model boats. I wonder if the bumper boat has been built since the last magazine? I like the see through springer as well and the detail on the Flying Phantom bridge is superb?

Yes the springer was pretty good, the builder had to put some solid stuff on it to see it when in the water. As for the Flying Phantom, that was an impressive large build, probably around 5- 6 foot long.

Did not really get into the Tank and truck area but also looked busy, as was the for Sale room !!

I have noted the bumper boat…AND the Hovervan! It warms the cockles of me ‘art.

no reason why the bumper should not have built since the current/last mag as it’s dead easy. Need three to play properly!

I once saw an Ecranoplan like mine on a show stand in the mag, but nowt else that I have built.

Noticed on the bumper boat the prop seems very close to the front bumper, not that that matters really.

Prop looked wrong to me, but hey ho, what works for some ………. wink

Is the motor unit 180degrees+ rotatable and as we see it pushing backwards?

Looking at the picture and the plan again, If built to the plan, then I think that the top section has just been put on back to front on the display as that would make sense then.

That may well be the case if the top combing was symmetrical ! Mine are not and the top only goes on one way. I should also have made BOTH tops symmetrical for more swappability!

Would be interested to know what the constructor thought of the plan and instructions…easy? Clear? Bits missing? Etc.

Surely if the model was buit the same way as the plan the motor unit is at the bow which would mean that the top in ln the right way.
