Hi all, This is a little bit special. I have here a Rare unstarted Plank On Frame Wooden Ship Kit of :-

The Skuldelev Ships #3 – Vikingeskib – Viking Ship (Roskilde Fjord)

From what I can gather this is the first model of the Skuldelev ship #3 that Billing made from the actual layout of the wreck of the original ship, later to be replaced by a smaller scale version of a full scale reproduction of the same ship named "Roar Ege" #703.

Very high quality large scale wooden kit. From I belive the late 1960's to early 70's. Features numerous different select hardwoods, strip wood for planking, wooden stock as needed, round stock and tapered yard, small nails, rigging material, sail cloth,

instructions and detailed, full size plans. The kit has not been started and is complete with all parts and paperwork.

This version when complete will be a total of 26" long,

compared to the 22 1/2" of the later model "Roar Ege"

So if you are a Viking completist then this is the one that got away!

I have checked the contents against the list in the manual and it all seems to be there, there is a small split in one of the veneer panels but this can be easily rectified with some TLC or just use some of the spare veneer in the box supplied to recreate it.

Selling as I belive as a novice I cannot do justice to this Kit so am willing to pass it on to someone who is going to get the best out of it and maybe pass a photo or 2 on when its complete.

£65 posted to Mainland UK You probably will never see another of these again.
