Apropos of nothing, when in Victoria, Canada a couple of weeks ago I picked up a really excellent book on the Canadian Pacific Empress liners – now those were really good looking ships, especially the first three Empresses and the Empress of Japan (2).

 

There were superb models of the vessels in both the Victoria and Vancouver maritime museums. If anyone is interested I can post some of them on a new thread.
