Anchor windlass on tugboat Craig

The drawings don't show a great deal of detail and although the views do relate some information they tend to contradict each other.

I do have the Winter 2008 feature which shows the windlass but from one side only. There is a small comment at the end mentioning gears which is leaving me a bit confused.

Is there any more information to be had?
