      im looking to build an airboat with a wooden hull and about a 40 or 60ish size glo engine, can any one point me in the right direction for some plans without resorting to sending to the states for them?.

            Just make what you see in your head.
            Flat bottomed.
            Length= 1.5 the width.
            Motor at the BACK!.

              Absolutely, no plans are required for an airboat unless you intend to model a particular type. Dont elevate the prop too much and dont be mean with the rudder area.

              I am sure there have been a few articles in MB magazine (my favourite, you understand) regarding airboats, and perhaps a back copy would be useful to peruse for ideas.

                Tried to insert a photo but as usual it will not work, so look in My Photos, under Airboats.

                  gday all, MB has some good electric air-boat plans , but the USA flying models mag.,carstens , has a glo air boat plan for a .19 glo, which could be blown up for a bigger motor.
                  google up air-boats , theres a few in USA, inc. a cat hulled one , address escapes me +flying models mag yrs ago ran a modified one , king toad, which had a pumper carby on it , tank in hull+a groove in the top of the hull , too lower the motor even further , approx, 25mm into top of hull .
                  these are fast , simple models , and heaps of fun
                  regards bill
