AIR BOAT

Hi to all the people out there in the ether. I got to thinking the other day down at the pond. there was a young lad with an air boat, and even at my age I was wishing give us a go, so now the reason for me babeling here. Does anyone know where I can get plans for one of the above, then I can become a kid again.

There were some good articles on airboats published in the magazine a while back but off hand I can't exactly recall when.

The Latest revisit was Model Boats May 2009 which was a further Development to the Glynn Guest Boat as above.

A very Simple but effective boat with plenty of room for development..

Is it the Banshee you are after, built from a block of insulation foam?

Of course, I made one in ply and the motor struggled with the weight – and the wiring burnt out (I used choc block!!!)

Will get back to it one day and put on a brushless and use Li-Po, that should get it going. Have plans etc send PM.

Are you going to build a air boat, ?.. if so you use any power plant 400 brushed is what i used if you go down brushless rout you are getting in to esc conflict , and pricey, you could also double up plan and use a ic motor, but ever format you go for dont for get to cage the prop ,

Thank you for the advise. I'm going to build the Skimmer, It will give me something to in the dark days before summer. The power i'll sort out when I've done the basic build, i'll keep you posted. It will'nt be as fancy as ELLIE, but it will be a change from my tugs. Good luck with your multi build, they all look great.

I have built a skimmer in a week end , simples 400 power 15 amp esc, 7.5 battery….

great fun when pool frozen and when snow is on common ,

fit a modfide coat hanger makes a good rescue craft,

get a buddy to build one and have race …cheers Larry…
