Has anyone built an RAF Range Safety Launch? I am finishing one off but am having trouble making the radar basket at the top of the foremast. Have tried the method of brass rings and brass wire but have failed miserably. If anyone has suggestions I would be grateful. Thank you.

Hi Alan

Sorry to say that brass wire might be the only option.

I had the same problem and ended up making a former to build the basket around, heating the wire to avoid kinks and soldering the joints.(these days a super glue might be better)

It took a day to perfect the skill and produce a decent item but it did look right when fitted to the boat.
