I have always wanted to build the "Jolie Brise" the 1913 French Pilot cutter , It is still sailing today so I have access to many pictures on their website. The plans are also French and have many errors especially the frames. It is nearly completed, Tank testing showed up a major fault. It’s too low in the water. One problem I want to solve is where should the ballast be placed. Directly under the Center of Gravity or spread out along the keel. What difference does it make.
