Hello everyone. I am well on the way on the build of a Speedline Shannon. The winter draws nearer and despite the very good summer we've had the weather has finally turned to normal. So at some point I will grind to a halt with this as I have nowhere to spray the larger areas in the warm. At this point nearer December I will be starting the ModelsbyDesign version from Andy Griggs. A very different assembly method and semi scratch build. Is there interest in me doing this here?

Can the forum handle bigger images? all my photos are hosted by myself, is there a way to enable them when clicked?

Andrew. Great video. Boat perhaps way too fast (which I approve of) but the lake surface is just spot on, rough and moody. Unfortunately our pond never gets that sort of wave height even when really windy.

Thank you and I agree too fast but that is how most people want to see it lol. Agree it’s better to have it there than not . There are other videos of earlier tests on my YouTube page too and some real Scarborough training day film in 1080p

Hi Andrew,

This forum only supports album size photos itself. Any larger images would need to be via an external URL reference.

This is what makes her tick. I made many mistakes along the way including a full speed crash. This has belt and braces redundancy to ensure she gets back lol

Returning to Ashley's reply re too fast I have actually fitted slower motors than supplied by Speedline. I am using Turnigy SK3 1185KV on 4s LiPo. Very nice motors so far 49 amp rated and coupled to 50amp Turnigy marine ESC's. Some would say use bigger ESC's but testing has proven that they can't even blow a 25amp fuse at continuous full speed. My conclusion is that the current rating is based on driving a propeller through air and irrelevant to an impeller in water. There opens a can of worms
