          Hi Julian,

To attach photos you need to create an album and use the insert from album button when making the post.

            Hello Julian,

it would appear you are possibly describing a 36R class of yacht with either Braine or Vane gear sheeting, but without photographs cannot tell you which.

With the dimensions you give the keel foot to deck level is outside the class rule. A 36R must fit into a box 37 x 9 x 11 inches. Your keel to deck level is outside this.

The main sail height is about correct. Not sure what you mean by "jib" connected to rudder stock, as the jib is the foresail and would usually be attached to the fore horse, the main sail being sheeted to the main horse and also linked to the rudder, but lets see the pictures then decide.

The quadrant would indicate braine steering system.

It may be worth contacting the Vintage Model Yacht Group — **LINK**

                  Many thanks your replies.

jib horse has cables running back to the steering quadrant. Possibly this is not correct.

what is the other sail next to the main? Has a smaller boom but battens appear to be wrong side. Apologies for my ignorance but am only a dinghy sailor
