I am supposed to be flying a Kite in the dark for Children in need.

I have a string of xmas LEDs with a Transformer, can I just unplug them from the Tranny and connect to a 12v Gel Battery ?

Please say yes.

A solid line underscored with a dotted line indicates unregulated d.c.

Unregulated dc may rise to 40% above the nominal voltage at low current so don’t be surprised if you get 12 volt from an unregulated 9 volt d.c. power supply.

Surely you have a multi-meter in your model boat tool kit?

Please say yes.

You can tell + – polarity,whether ac or dc
