With the warm sunny weather I have managed to get tlhe large paddling pool out to test my Graupner Bernhard Gruben model. This uses a P94 ESC Mixer. Apart from a very big leak through the stern slipway despite waterproof tape, I have a problem with the P94. Going forward the 2 motors operate together but in reverse only the starboard motor reverses, the port motor goes forward again.

The motors are Graupner 600 12v, the Tx is Radiolink AT 9. Has anyone a suggestion of what might cause this, although the P94 was bought 3 1/2 years ago it's just been sat in the boat whilst I finished it. I have looked at the wiring against the instructions but can't see anything wrong.

      Any suggestions.

      Thanks

      Tim

A common mistake is to leave the preset pot R1 in its fully-clockwise position. This cancels any degree of motor mixing. Try setting the mode to 4 (50%) and the preset all the way anticlockwise. If the problem persists then it sounds like a faulty relay. In that event PM me and I'll send you an address for testing and repair.

While you're at it, select Mode 1 (Tank steering); the position of R1 doesn't have any effect in this mode. Leave the two leads from the P94 to the receiver where they are in the receiver, just for testing.
The throttle stick should run one of the motors forward and reverse, while the rudder stick should do the same to the other motor. If one of the motors fails to change direction then it's definitely a sticking relay. It's easily fixed in a unit like this one.
