Hi Larry and Bob. I am a member of Sedgemoor Model Boat Club and I joined as a Scale boat member and have joined the Small Yacht section that has just been formed within the club. I bought used Century 750 and when I attended our inaugural meeting with it, it was plain to see that the rigging was "tired" and almost impossible to sail, I will attempt to re-rig it at some point but in the meantime I noticed one of the other members had a Surmount and everybody including the ships cat were remarking of it's good value for money and that it was a good buy for a beginner such as me. I came home yesterday and ordered one online from Hobby King for £61-40p delivered !!!

My purpose for posting here is that I saw your posts and it heartened me to see two elder, respected statesman of our model world giving the Surmount the thumbs up. Thank you Gentlemen.

                Alan of Burnham on Sea.

Not at all. He was a nice old boy and it's difficult to think of him without a smile.
