        Morning Paul

You`re quite right, my picture shows depth charges…………………..just shows what a versatile ship she was!

Not yet decided what guise she will take eventually……………..depth charges look easy to make?

          Good morning captain Bob

I didn’t know that JD had depth charges I would have thought that she was to slow to use these weapons…it just goes to show that you can’t make assumptions.

Depth charges could be made out of dowel with some jewellery chain clasps as the lifting eyes and you could you make mines out of small wooden balls on small boxes.

The photos of the formers coming out of the hull are great (nerve wracking moments??)

            Hello Paul

We`ve got snow in the Denton area this morning………………Perfect excuse for not going out!

It was no problem removing the formers…………..the planks are similar to a stone arch……self retaining?

Working on the paddles and paddle boxes at the moment…………..before the lid goes on and makes access difficult.

The new lathe has been a treat, making all the bits and pieces.

            Having great fun building again!

              Hi Bob

Its just pouring down here in Lymm so I’m staying indoors myself.

I have to say that the paddle wheels are a testament to your engineering skills, I am really impressed with the detailed skill of the construction.

Its nice to see you building again.

              Paul

                Hear Hear to that Paul.

And the mines could be made out of polystyrene balls that are on sale at the garden Centre craft shop near you Bob and the chain clasps as well and will keep the weight off the deck hey

Once again Bob great build ,and the article in December is the Bees Knees

I thought of gum-drops or ‘jaffas’ sutably modified for the mines
