Shipfinder General as I understand it, buys and sells model boats –They have a stand at some shows. I know no more than that, but as far as I am aware they don’t provide a ‘search service’ for plans.

as Paul says, Steve. they buy and sell model boats.if you have one to sell they will sell on a commission, and if you want to buy a specific boat or type, they will look for one, take their commission and sell to you?

 when I moved house some time ago I had to get rid of all my boats 15 in all, I advertised in this magazine and was contacted  by a gentleman from manchester offering to buy them all, he arrived one evening and the deal was done. I found out later that he was the shipfinder general and was told that most of my boats were for sale at the yarmouth show. as a seller I was quite happy to do business with him , and I would assume that he would be just as straight with me if I was buying a boat from him. hope this is helpfull
