          Hi Mark,

          Welcome to the Forum.

I assume you are referring to the Melbourne Star built 1947/1948. I am not aware of any modelling plans for this vessel. It is possible that Bob Wilson might have something in his collection of drawings. Otherwise you would probably need to contact Harland & Wolff who built the ship.

There is some info here which you may have seen:

            Mark,

It would seem that many (most? all? it is not very clear) Harlan & Wolff ship's plans from the periods when either the first or the second Melbourne Star was built have been deposited with the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum (UFTM); acording to a 2007 guide to the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) collection of H&W records, these UFTM held plans "are not available to the public in any shape or form at the moment" (see final page of this pdf: **LINK**). I have no idea whether this is still so, nine years later, but you could always try asking the UFTM (see https://nmni.com/Contact); the worst they can say would be "sorry, still no access" …

I have replied to this in the "All Things Floting" section, under the name Melbourne Star. I couldn't find it here yesterday after coming up with the answer.

My first ship was the Rhodesia Star!
