        Love them  or loath them  modern cruise ships are a fact of life .  The 113000ton  290m long  19deck  Crown Princess  now has the distinction of being the biggest , longest , heaviest ship ever to berth at the Pier Head Liverpool .

            Hi Long Build  I’m not sure which day the ship departed but it was in the evening .
            Here are a few more “images”.
            The bridge is certainly very spacious   , the stern , well I’ll leave that to the eye of the beholder.  but what ever happened to the funnel?

              Dave, As its styled on a block of flats sitting on a barge I dont suppose the aesthetics demand a funnel. BUT Isnt that the funnel, the group of tin cans on the roller coaster as per your last picture>and Could there be such a thing a too big a bridge for effective control?  Ashley

                Whatever happened to grace and style in design? as Ashley says its just a barge with a block of flats stuck on top.
                There could be a little train in the bridge to get the Captain from one side to the other (just like Blackpool pier)

                  Paul. Money, its about big bucks. Nothing else.And lets face it, the public are not too fussed about the ships appearance any more, just how many bars there are and what the night clubs are like (not that i am take to stereotype anyone)  50 years on who will have the patience to make an r/c model of one of these leviathans?? imagine the windows and glazing….you would go barmy making that lot!!!   Ashley
